Shipping Policy

At Firearms Alabama, we ship to licensed FFL dealers in all 50 US states. Every firearm is shipped in accordance with federal law and handled by experienced, trained staff.

1. How FFL Shipping Works

  1. Place your order and choose your preferred FFL dealer at checkout.
  2. We verify the FFL's license and ship your firearm directly to them.
  3. You visit the FFL to complete a Form 4473 and federal background check.
  4. Once approved, you pick up your firearm.

Most FFL dealers charge a transfer fee of $25–$50. This fee is paid directly to your FFL, not to us.

2. Processing & Handling Time

Orders are processed within 24 hours of payment clearing (excluding weekends and federal holidays). In-stock items typically ship the next business day.

Ammunition and hazmat-classified items ship via ground only due to federal hazmat regulations.

4. Shipping Restrictions

  • We ship to all 50 US states; AK, HI, PR subject to carrier surcharges.
  • No international shipping.
  • State and local laws apply — we cannot ship certain firearms to restricted states (e.g., CA-compliant configurations for California, capacity limits for CT/NY/NJ).

5. Tracking

You will receive a tracking email as soon as your firearm leaves our Birmingham facility. You can also track your order from the tracking page or your account dashboard.

6. Lost or Damaged Shipments

If your package arrives damaged or is lost in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery (or expected delivery). We will open a claim with the carrier and either reship or refund.
