Short description of why, the FBI HRT (Hostage Rescue Team) tested and selected these handguns. Big deal? Not quite that simple, Their accuracy standard was for three, 10-shot groups at 25 yards producing a group no larger than 1.5″. Still not a big deal right? After 20,000 rounds it was retested, met the standards and was selected. These groups were produced using Remington Golden Sabers, which are not any kind of match grade or accuracy loaded ammunition. In the end, only one gun survived and met all of the FBIs demands. The result is the most torture-tested, durable, and reliable 1911s ever made!
