Product Description

Here we have a Colt Diamondback 22 LR in great condition. This revolver comes with a 4″ barrel and blued finish. Used but not abused. There are some cosmetic blemishes that are pictured. There is a scratch on the side plate and some holster wear on the front right of the barrel near the muzzle. Otherwise, this is a very clean revolver with honest wear that comes with being kept in a holster and having been shot. When the serial number was searched through Colt’s website, it is dated as being made in 1981. This would be a great piece of history to add to your collection or to do some plinking with. Get it before it’s gone!
Like New, No Box.
Colt introduced the double-action Diamondback as a deluxe model in 1966. It has a wide serrated target hammer, ventilated rib, fully adjustable target quality sights, and full-length barrel underlug. It is a 6-shot revolver with a swing-out cylinder and is available in a blued finish. Visually, the Diamondback resembles a scaled-down version of the Python. While the Python is built on Colt’s “I frame,” the Diamondback is built on the smaller “D frame,” as used in the Detective Special. The Diamondback was dropped from production in 1988.[3]
Because of the light recoil of 22 LR ammunition, the .22 version of the Diamondback can be used as a training gun for novice shooters. It had gained popularity with gun enthusiasts due to the inexpensive price of .22 caliber ammunition and since it has been discontinued, for its rarity.
